BEIJING (Sputnik) — He added that the purpose of the strategy is to improve the management of global trade, reduce the cost of production, boost coordination in trade and investment policies as well as to change the tendency toward a slowdown in global trade.

"The issue of stimulating world trade is to be discussed during the ministerial meeting. The G20 members will work out a strategy on global trade development," Wang said at a press conference.

According to Wang, the ministers will discuss issues related to the implementation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement on trade facilitation, which sets provisions for expediting the movement, release and clearance of goods, as well as customs cooperation.

The G20 is an international forum for the world's 20 biggest economies. Its participants include the United States, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, as well as India and Mexico.
