MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A Brazilian TV crew covering the Euro 2016 football championship was verbally and physically abused by German fans in Paris, local media reported.
According to the Estadao portal, the incident happened outside of the Gare du Nord train station in central Paris on Thursday afternoon. The German fans slapped and kicked, and used racial slurs against the reporters.
France is hosting the Euro 2016 football championship, which started last Friday and is due to end on July 10.
The tournament so far has been mired in clashes between fans. As many as 323 people were arrested by the police since the start of the championship, while three Russian fans were sentenced to prison terms.
