    Putin Extends Condolences to ‘Barbaric’ Orlando Shooting Victims' Relatives

    On Sunday Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the relatives of the US Orlando massacre in a telegram.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — In an official telegram to Barack Obama Russian President Vladimir Putin stresses that the Russian people share the pain and grief of those who lost their relatives and beloved ones in the 'barbaric' crime and hope for the speed recovery of those injured.

    A gunman went on a shooting spree at the Pulse gay club in Florida on Sunday, killing at least 20 people and wounding more than 40. He was shot down by a SWAT team after taking people hostage. 

    In a statement the US president called the shooting "an act of terror and hate".
