German and Swiss authorities have confiscated documents from private detective Josef Resch, who has been conducting his own investigation of the 2014 crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, Dutch officials and media said Tuesday.

Investigators believe that some of the documents seized after last week's raid on the detective's home in Bad Schwartau, northern Germany, may shed light on the circumstances of the tragedy. Some of the papers are said to be "explosive" and could help determine the culprits.

According to De Telegraaf daily, the German detective began his own probe two months after the catastrophe, and has received some $19 million for his investigations. His generous clients remain unknown.

"We are hoping to get some information about this. That's why the raids at his home were carried out," the spokesman for the prosecution service, Wim De Bruin, told AFP.

The contents of Resch's safe-deposit box in a bank in Zurich, Switzerland, were also inspected.

"We don't actually know what was in the box. The Swiss judge must now decide if its contents can be handed over to Dutch officials," the spokesman said.

He added that it is possible that the detective may have been in contact with the culprits.

The Boeing 777 aircraft, operated by Malaysia Airlines as Flight 17, was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was struck by a BUK anti-aircraft missile while flying at 33,000 feet over war-torn eastern Ukraine on June 17, 2014. All 298 passengers and crew — the majority of them Dutch — died in the crash.

A criminal investigation is ongoing in the Netherlands to identify who fired the missile and where from, although many believe that those responsible will never be brought to justice.

The first official findings by criminal investigators are expected after the summer, as they await further information from Russia.

I hope if it was that important he has copies stored elsewhere in multiple places and has an effective "dead man switch".

Russia should have a version of Swiss banks. Secure and secretive. Even stealthy.

No one can FORCE Russia to give clients info EVER. The client could be FORCED to supply such info to the country it lives.
    • This can mean only that the official investigators don't want to find out who really did it.

madison0873, That's exactly what professional investigators do. You can bet on it ;)

This could be yet another disinformation tactic by the USA, Ukraine, Netherlands and now Switzerland and Germany, to throw off the trail from the real culprits who I'm 99% sure was the Ukrainian army under orders from the USA. Remember, Malaysia recently started a new investigation with Russia since Malaysia, owner of the aircraft, wasn't allowed in the initial Dutch investigation and kept in the dark. They are hiding the truth, and they know Russia and Malaysia will get to the truth... so this is simply being fabricated to dispel their finding.

Matrix 68, right on the nose. The west will go to any length to make a disinformation set of values accepted by the world, even investing millions. Since this is seized, the world will think that it should be an honest set of data and not just plants.. On the other hand, it may be honest and who knows what the two governments will do to the originals. Give a mouse a piece of cheese for safekeeping and see what happens!
The investigator should now send off the dupes to the Malaysian authorities.

Very suspicious story. Speaking of suspicious, is anyone investigating the theft of the Ukraine government and its use to kill thousands of civilians in the east? A government is a more dangerous weapon than a buk missile, especially when Count Chocola has his greasy chocolatey fingers on the trigger.

The Dutch Air Safety Board are a joke. They have no expertise on aircraft that are shot down and, as their report said, they haven't a clue who did it. All their information is provided by Washington, so their findings are irrelevant, but their unqualified members, although they are only part-time amateurs, are well paid.

Matrix 68, no it's not. When one is familiar with how the NWO operates then this is a gianormous and unplanned for leak of vital information.

Want2B Wiseguy, I believe the whole Ukraine 'coup' has been most disadvantageous for the NWO, for instance, just witness the dissatisfaction of the EU with Poreshenko.

If MH17 was shot down by a Buk missile who has photographs of the smoke trails? US satellites were busy over the war zone at the material time, how come Kerry, who offered to show US satellite photo initially, suddenly became cold?

"The Russian military detected a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet gaining height towards the MH17 Boeing on the day of the catastrophe. Kiev must explain why the military jet was tracking the passenger airplane."

Who is Capt Veloshin from the Ukrainian AF? Why was he given a medal by president Poroshenko, a weeks after MH17 was hot down?

I cannot see a clear motive for this foul crime . Is it possible that this was some kind of an accident ?
    • White_Eagle1
Was Putin on a flight at the same time? And the Ukraine "got the wrong plane' as supposedly one fighter pilot back on the ground form a flight put it.?
