NATO’s activity near the Russian borders is not a direct threat to the country but creates serious risks, Russia's NATO envoy Alexander Grushko said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the official, Russia is fully capable of finding adequate response to the alliance’s activities on its eastern flank.

"I would not say that this [NATO’s activity near Russia’s borders] is a direct threat to Russia, yet we see that it creates serious risks, because in reality we see that a completely new military reality is unfolding along our borders, and this is a result of NATO planning," Grushko.
