MOSCOW, May 19 (Sputnik) — The reasons that caused the disappearance of EgyptAir flight MS804 aircraft over the Mediterranean Sea have not been found out yet, Egypt's Civil Aviation Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
"[The ministry] denies all data and misinformation that has been circulating since early morning about the reasons that led to disappearance of EgyptAir's plane en route from Paris… The company confirms that it has nor established the reasons of the disappearance and calls not to speculate on the issue," the statement published on the ministry's Facebook page said.
EgyptAir Flight MS804 departed from the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 23:09 GMT. The aircraft was heading for Cairo International Airport. According to the airline, there were a total of 66 people on board the plane, including 56 passengers.
