VIENNA (Sputnik) – Participants of the preparatory meeting of senior officials on Libya hope that a decision on lifting weapons embargo from the country will be taken later on Monday at the ministerial level, a member of the Moroccan delegation and a participant of the preparatory meeting told Sputnik.
"A communique has already been prepared," the delegate said.
Asked whether the communique has a decision on lifting arms embargo, the delegate said: "This is what we hope for."
The communique will be presented to the foreign ministers of countries participating in the meeting later on Monday.
US State Secretary John Kerry and Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni are the co-chairs of the meeting.
