A hacker group affiliated with Daesh militant group has claimed to have gained access to the personal data of State Department employees, US media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The group calling itself "United Cyber Caliphate" reported through social media that it had hacked the US State Department and released the personal details of its employees working in various countries – from Chile to Nepal and from Togo to Sudan.

"Wanted to be killed," the group wrote in English, Arabic, Spanish, Russian and French below each photoshopped image posted on the Telegram message service, according to Fox News.

Along with the State Department, the leaked information is said to include data relating to the employees of the departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Energy, Commerce and Health and Human services. The total number of people included in the list is 43.

The issued information includes places of work, zip codes and phone numbers, which are largely available on open sources, the Middle East Research Institute was quoted as saying by Fox News.

The "United Cyber Caliphate" is an alliance of three pro-Daesh hacker groups including the well-known "Cyber Caliphate Army," which earlier released target lists of US government officials and "wanted lists" of 36 Minnesota police officers. The group has also claimed to have hacked Google which turned out to be false.
