MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Moscow will carefully analyze the results of the meeting, the ministry said, and will decide on future contacts based on the alliance's readiness to cooperate on equal grounds and take into account Russian interests.
Russia continues to view the NATO-Russia Council as a useful channel for the sides to discuss key security matters, the Russian Foreign Ministry said following a meeting of the council on Wednesday.
"Despite the alliance's clear inability to move beyond purely politicized intra-bloc arrangements and the well-known attempts by some NATO members to discredit the NATO-Russia Council format, we continue to view it as a useful channel for NATO and Russia to discuss key security issues," the ministry said in a statement.
