    The Russian president discussed with the Qatari Emir the meeting of oil producing countries and the Syrian situation.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani where they discussed the outcome of the meeting among oil producing countries in Doha on April 17, as well as the situation in Syria and possible coordination of joint efforts in settling the crisis, the Kremlin’s press service said Tuesday.

    “A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was held on the initiative of the Qatari side. Various aspects were discussed on the situation in Syria, including the possible coordination of joint efforts in settling the crisis,” the press service said.

    Putin and Al Thani also discussed the outcome of the oil producing states’ meeting in Doha on April 17.
