Tensions are still high between Yerevan and Baku: Armenia has violated the ceasefire line in Nagorno-Karabakh 120 times in the past 24 hours.

BAKU (Sputnik) — The Armenian military has violated the ceasefire along the contact line in Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh 120 times over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"In spite the Karabakh line of contact ceasefire agreement reached previously, the Armenian side has violated the ceasefire regime along the entire line 120 times over the past day," the ministry said in a press statement.

Azerbaijan Committed to Peaceful Solution in Karabakh
At the same time, Azerbaijan's military has fired over 120 artillery shells at Armenian positions in the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said Saturday.

"Given the current situation, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have carried out 121 artillery strikes against Armenian positions," the ministry said in a press statement.

Azerbaijan does not recognize the ethnically Armenian self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and considers the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army to be a part of the Armed Forces of Armenia.
