Russia is not ready to share US President Barack Obama attitude towards Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) —  Russia regrets the confrontational approach of US President Barack Obama toward Russia highlighted in his recent statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday..

On Tuesday, Obama said that Washington increases its military posture in Europe "to reassure NATO allies in the light of particularly increased aggressive actions by Russia."

"We do not share such a confrontational approach, we regret that view, which is the epitome of the confrontation. In addition, of course, we express our particular regret about the fact that we are talking about building a confrontational attitude of the European states from across the pond," Peskov told reporters.

Relations between Russia and the United States escalated amid the crisis in Ukraine. Washington and its allies accused Moscow of fueling the conflict and introduced several rounds of sanctions against Russia. Moscow has consistently denied the allegations.
