    Venezuelan Oil Minister confirmed his participation in Russia's National Oil and Gas Forum, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said Wednesday.

    KHANTY-MANSIYSK (Sputnik) — Venezuelan Oil Minister Eulogio Del Pino has confirmed his participation in Russia's National Oil and Gas Forum to take place in Moscow in late April, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov said Wednesday.

    "I do not know if he comes or not, [he] has confirmed his participation in the forum," Molodtsov told reporters, answering a question about Del Pino's visit.

    He added that Russia had also sent invitations to attend the forum to OPEC Secretary General Abdalla Salem Badri and Saudi Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Naimi.

    On April 19-21, the third National Oil and Gas Forum is expected to take place in Moscow. According to the estimates of the Russian Energy Ministry, some 3,000 participants would attend the event.

    Energy companies from around the world, including Russia’s Gazprom and Rosneft, France’s Total, Chinese PowerChina and PetroChina, as well as Brazil's state-owned oil giant Petrobras are expected to participate in the forum.
