MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Open skies is a principle that encourages the easing of international aviation regulations, especially for commercial flights.
"The Russian aviation authorities will consider the proposal by the Jordanian aviation authorities on the possible implementation of an 'open skies' policy in relation to the two countries," it was stated in the document, as cited by RIA Novosti.
In 2009, Jordan and Russia signed a new agreement on the development of air links between the two countries and the easing of regulations for commercial aviation.
The third meeting of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission on the development of economic and scientific and technical cooperation took place on March 21 in Amman.
