Turkey Refused Russian Inspection Flight Over Security Concerns
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) said Thursday it would not allow the Urals Airlines to carry out flights to Turkey in light of the current political situation and possible terrorists attacks on the Turkish territory.

"In light of the developments of the political situation and real terrorist threats in Turkey, the Federal Air Transport Agency does not conform readiness and is not planning to issue any permits to Urals Airlines on flights to Antalya as it considers inadmissible in current conditions to maintain regular air travel between Russia and Turkey," a spokesman for Rosaviatsia said.

Earlier reports indicated that the Urals Airlines could get permits on flights to Antalya seven times a week from Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan.
