CAIRO (Sputnik) – Flights between Russia and Egypt were suspended following the October 31 Airbus A321 crash en route from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg as a result of an explosion on board. Islamic State jihadist group, which is outlawed in Russia and many other countries, claimed responsibility for planting a bomb on board the aircraft.
"We are expecting the visit of a [Russian] delegation in April," Ehab Raslan told RIA Novosti.
He added that the Egyptian side had upgraded the security systems at the facilities.
