GENEVA (Sputnik) – The draft declaration of the Geneva talks obtained by Sputnik on Thursday does not mention the fate of the current country's president Bashar Assad.

The document, prepared by De Mistura and submitted to the negotiating sides for approval earlier in the day, does not stipulate neither Assad's resignation, nor his participation in the future Syrian elections, a Sputnik correspondent who saw the draft document reports.
