MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Israeli counterpart Reuven Rivlin will discuss trade and economic relations between the two countries on Wednesday in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Bilateral relations between Russia and Israel are quite developed, as well as the level of mutual trust and economic ties. We have experienced a drop in the volume of trade and economic relations, some 30 percent. So we have a lot to talk about in this area," Peskov said Wednesday.
He also noted that in addition to the meeting of the presidents, Russian-Israeli negotiations are to take place in a ministerial level.
In February, Russia and Israel decided to hold a number of high-level contact meetings on cooperation after a telephone conversation between Russian President Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
