WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The spokesperson added that the United States has not seen any significant ceasefire violations in Syria over the past day amid implementing the agreement on cessation of hostilities.
"I can’t confirm those numbers, those reports," Kirby stated in a press briefing.
Last week, Russia and the United States reached an agreement on a ceasefire in Syria. The ceasefire took effect at midnight on Saturday, Damascus time, and is generally holding across the country.
The center on Syrian reconciliation was created at the Russian Hmeimim airbase in Syria following the ceasefire deal announcement to coordinate opposing sides and monitor compliance with the truce.
