    Over 140 Flights Cancelled in Canada Amid Snow, Freezing Rain

    More than 140 flights have been cancelled at Toronto's Pearson International Airport amid a winter storm that has hit the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, as well as the Atlantic Canada region, CBC reports.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Flights were also cancelled by airports in the capital Ottawa and in Montreal, CBC said on Wednesday.

    More snow and freezing rain are expected in Canada on Thursday morning.

    The US Midwest has also been hit by a snow storm, with blizzard warnings having been issued in Illinois and Indiana. Over 1,000 flights have been cancelled at Chicago airports, according to CBC.
