Moscow is not aware of any plans to hold talks with Iran on freezing oil extractions at January levels, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.

For Russia, Iran's Return to the World Oil Market is a Boon, Not a Threat
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kremlin spokesman also refused to comment on Russia's financial credits to Iran, which are currently being negotiated.

"I do not know about this [plan]," Peskov told reporters.

On Tuesday, the energy ministers of Russia, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Qatar met in Doha. The four countries agreed to keep their average monthly oil output throughout 2016 at January levels if other major oil producers followed suit.

Since the collapse in oil prices in the first half of January to below-$30 a barrel, oil producing countries have been considering meeting to address the slump in oil prices, which has caused financial problems for some oil-reliant nations.
