NATO Unlikely to Assume 'Combat Role' in Anti-Daesh Fight

MUNICH (Sputnik) – NATO will welcome a more constructive role by Russia in the fight against the Daesh, which is prohibited in numerous countries including the United States and Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Friday.

"We will welcome a more constructive role of Russia in the fight against Daesh, so far Russia has mainly targeted opposition groups and not Daesh," Stoltenberg said.
