    Russia and India will shortly prepare draft agreements on joint design, development and manufacturing of high-tech military products, according to a joint statement published Thursday following talks between the countries' leaders.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently visiting Moscow, where he has met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

    "The sides expressed satisfaction with the joint Russian-Indian naval exercises of December 2015 in the waters of the Bay of Bengal, as well as joint land force drills Indra-2015," the statement reads.

    The two countries' defense ministries have now been tasked with preparing draft cooperation agreements for companies in the defense sphere.
