    Vladimir Putin said that Russia is interested in Indian firms launching production on its territory and will do everything possible to create favorable conditions for this.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russia is interested in Indian firms launching production on its territory and will do everything possible to create favorable conditions for this, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

    "I consider plans to cultivate entrepreneurs under the 'Make in India' initiative forward-thinking… We are interested in our Indian partners nurturing production in Russia actively," Putin said.

    On Wednesday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow for a two-day visit to hold talks with the Russian president on a range of bilateral issues, including transport, trade, energy, and the economy. The meeting is expected to result in the signing of a number of documents aimed at increasing trade and economic cooperation between the sides.
