The UN General Assembly has adopted a Russia-proposed resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism.

UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — The draft resolution received support of 133 countries during the 70th session of the General Assembly, while the United States, Ukraine, Canada and Palau voted against the resolution. Forty-nine UN members, mostly EU nations, abstained from voting.

The resolution also concerns neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fueling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia.
