MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied Wednesday media reports about an alleged meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in Moscow last week.
Iran's FARS news agency has reported, citing anonymous sources, that Soleimani, the commander of the Al-Quds force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, visited Moscow earlier in December for talks with the Russian leadership, including President Putin.
"No, there was no [such a meeting]," Peskov told reporters answering the relevant question.
