Bahrain Receives New Conception of Security From Russia - Bahraini FM

According to Bahraini Foreign Minister, Russia has proposed to Bahrain a new conception of security for the Persian Gulf region.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia has proposed to Bahrain a new conception of security for the Persian Gulf region, Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said Wednesday.

“During talks today, [Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov brought us a new version of a Russian concept and this once again emphasizes Russia’s obligations in regard to providing peace and security in our region,” Al Khalifa said during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.

The Bahraini foreign minister also expressed hope that Russia would continue to play a role in bringing the points of views of various countries in the region closer together.
