PARIS (Sputnik) – US Secretary of State John Kerry said Tuesday he hopes a durable agreement on climate change will be reached within the next three days.
"We still have time to prevent the worst impact of climate change from happening… Reaching an agreement that is durable, inclusive and transparent is our goal here… We have to reach the agreement in the next three days," Kerry said on the sidelines of the COP21 climate change conference in Paris.
He said that the agreement should be used in order to create a roadmap to unite world leaders in making key changes in their countries’ attitudes toward climate change.
"The global climate agreement is not going to be a silver bullet. It will build a platform, set the roadmap. It brings world leaders together for the first time to commit to make fundamental changes," Kerry added.
