France Insists on Cooperating With Turkey to Resolve Syrian Crisis
Turkish authorities have announced that France can use Turkey's airspace in the fight against Daesh militants, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet Daily News reported, citing a source in the diplomatic circles.

"France asked us for authorization to use our airspace in the context of the fight against Daesh in Syria. This authorization was given on condition that the general principles outlined for the coalition countries are followed," the source said.

France is part of a coalition of 65 countries that are involved in bombing Daesh targets in Syria and Iraq; in Syria, the coalition conducts air strikes without first obtaining the permission of local authorities.

Paris intensified bombing in Syria and sent its aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to the region after a series of terrorist attacks in the French capital on November 13, in which at least 129 people were killed and 350 more injured.

France's Flagship Aircraft Carrier Sets Sights on ISIL From Near Syria
The Russian air campaign in Syria was launched on September 30, when more than fifty Russian aircraft, including Su-24M, Su-25 and Su-34 warplanes, commenced precision airstrikes on Islamic State targets in Syria at the request of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Since then, Russian warplanes have made more than 2,000 sorties, destroying several hundred militants and about 3,000 Daesh targets.

Separately, the US-led coalition has carried out  air raids on Daesh positions since September 2014, bypassing the UN Security Council and without coordinating its activities with the Syrian authorities.
