WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande will discuss coordination of counter-terrorism efforts at their meeting on November 24 in Washington, DC, the White House announced in a statement on Tuesday.
“President Obama and President Hollande will consult and coordinate our efforts to assist France’s investigation into these attacks, discuss further cooperation as part of the 65-member counter-ISIL coalition, and reiterate our shared determination to confront the scourge of terrorism,” the statement said.
Hollande, who skipped the weekend's G20 summit due to the Paris attacks, said Monday that he would meet with the leaders of Russia and the United States to discuss joining forces against terrorism.
On November 13, a series of attacks on Paris claimed the lives of some 130 people and injured at least 350. The Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
