LONDON (Sputnik) — Almost 1,500 British citizens have already returned home from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, while almost the same number is expected to arrive on Sunday, a British government spokesperson said.

About 11,000 Russian Tourists Return Home From Egypt
There were a total 20,000 of British tourists in Sharm el-Sheikh at the moment of suspension of air service between the United Kingdom and the resort city.

On November 4, the British government banned all flights between the Egyptian resort city and airports in England, and introduced additional security measures over the fears that the Russian A321 passenger plane that crashed en route from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, may have been brought down by a bomb.
