Russia Suggests Closer Cooperation Between BRICS, Eurasian Economic Union
MOSCOW (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova — On Tuesday, Moscow hosts the first meeting of BRICS Heads of Industrial Authorities to discuss industrial cooperation and new opportunities for growth.

"All BRICS countries are engaging in various technology areas and also exporting such products to other countries, however, the level of technological development of BRICS is still behind the level of developed countries. We need to bridge this gap," Ravi Kapoor said at the meeting of BRICS industry ministers.

He added that "this can be achieved by promoting innovation in BRICS countries, Russia is the leader in that."

Kapoor underscored that cooperation between BRICS member states is improving as new areas are identified.

BRICS is an association of five major developing economies, including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
