WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US government has raised concerns over the unequal treatment of Arab-Americans and Palestinian-Americans in light of recent reports about US citizens being denied entry into Israel, the State Department said on Tuesday.
"The US government seeks equal treatment and freedom to travel for all US citizens regardless of national origin or ethnicity," State Department Press Secretary John Kirby said.
He noted that US government officials "regularly raise with Israeli authorities concerns about the issue of equal treatment for all US citizens at ports of entry."
