UFA (Sputnik) — Tajikistan hopes that Iran will be able to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as soon as possible, President Emomali Rahmon said on Friday.
"I express hope that the Islamic Republic of Iran will also join the list of full-fledged members of our organization in the nearest future," Rahmon said, adding that his country fully supported India and Pakistan joining the organization.
Rahmon added that next year's SCO summit will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
