    The USS Ross (DDG 71), a guided-missile destroyer from the US Sixth Fleet, has reportedly entered the waters of the Black Sea.

    The Ross, a guided-missile destroyer from the US Sixth Fleet, has entered the waters of the Black Sea, news reports stated.

    The warship, which is equipped with the Aegis ballistic missile-defense system, is due to take part in joint US-Romanian naval drills codenamed Trident Poseidon 2015.

    The exercises are currently under way in Romanian territorial waters and in the international waters of the Black Sea; they are scheduled to wrap up on May 28.
