One Turkish national and an Afghan civilian were killed when a suicide vehicle bomber struck another vehicle in the embassy area of Kabul, police spokesman Hashmat Stanekzai was cited by local medial.
Deputy interior minister General Ayoub Salanghi claimed that the attack was aimed at a Turkish embassy convoy, according to Reuters.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in an online statement, saying it targeted foreign forces, according to the news outlet.

Thursday’s attack comes just a day after the US embassy in Afghanistan issued a warning to its nationals in Kabul, saying that militants had planned multiple imminent attacks against unspecified targets in the Afghan capital.
