Former German rapper Denis Cuspert has been sanctioned by the US Department of State, which froze all his property and assets, after he was designated a Global Terrorist.

After converting to Islam, 39-year-old Cuspert, or Desso Dog as he was known on stage, now goes by the pseudonym Abu Talha Almani.  He is now living in  Syria where he supports the Islamic State, the state department said in a statement.

According to the Daily Mail, Cuspert is allegedly responsible for recruiting English speakers into the terrorist organization.
