MOSCOW, October 27 (RIA Novosti) - Law enforcement personnel in Puyallup, Washington have cordoned off several streets over the presence of an armed felon in the area, the local police department said Monday on Twitter.
"Police activity in the area of S Hill Park DR & 9 ST SW as well as SR 512 due to man with a gun in the woods. AVOID THE AREA," local police said in a tweet.
Another tweet added that almost all businesses have been evacuated from the area. SWAT teams have been deployed to the site.
Puyallup police explained that the incident appears to have started as a domestic violence case in the parking lot where a known felon pulled a gun.
No casualties or other incidents have been reported.
