KIEV, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - According to the Ukrainian Central Election Commission data, the turnout in early parliamentary elections to the Verkhovna Rada on Sunday is at 19.52 percent as of 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT), the Commission said.
The largest turnout was registered in the Cherkasy Region - 24.36 percent, the smallest turnout was recorded in the Zakarpattia Region - 12.2 percent.
In comparison, at the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2012 the general turnout was at 56.76 percent.
Early parliamentary elections are being held in Ukraine Sunday, October 26. Ukrainians go to the polls to vote in 424 members of parliament — 225 of them from party lists and 199 in single-candidate constituencies. The electoral threshold is 5 percent.
