WASHINGTON, September 19 (RIA Novosti) – At least six children and two adults have been killed in shooting in the town of Bell, northern Florida on Thursday, the local Sheriff's Office reported.

A man identified as Don Spirit shot and killed his daughter and six grandchildren aged 3 months to 10 years and then turned the gun on himself, Gilchrist County Sheriff Robert Schulz told a news conference.

The victims were already dead when police reached them.
