German fraud investigation company Wifka has said an unnamed client is ready to pay a reward of $30 million for information on who is responsible for the Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight tragedy.

MOSCOW, September 17 (RIA Novosti) - German fraud investigation company Wifka has said an unnamed client is ready to pay a reward of $30 million for information on who is responsible for the Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight tragedy.

"Client is providing 30 million dollars as a reward for information and evidence," the statement, published in German, English and Russian on the company's website, said Wednesday.

Among the questions, which the investigators hope to answer, are "Who shot down MH17 on July 17?" and "Who gave the order [to do so]?"

Wifka's client is also interested in who participated in covering up the "shoot down," including if it was accidental.

The statement adds that the money is deposited in Zurich, Switzerland and that the company will establish a secure means of communication for every individual case. Wifka's client also offers to provide the whistle-blower with a new identity.

According to media reports, Wifka's investigator Josef Resch, who is leading the MH17 case, has no doubts about the seriousness of the client. He has already received a prepayment in excess of $50,000 and will receive about $650,000 when the task is completed.

On July 17, a Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Ukraine's eastern region of Donetsk, killing all 298 people on board.

The reason for the crash is still a matter of debates.

On September 9, the Dutch Safety Board issued a preliminary report on the MH17 crash, saying that the Malaysia Airlines flight broke up in the air probably as the result of structural damage caused by a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from the outside.
