LUHANSK, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - Second group of Russian trucks with humanitarian aid is expected to arrive in Luhansk on Sunday, said the Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Igor Plotnitsky.

"This is the second convoy, but it is coming one group after another. The first convoy came as a whole but currently it is coming group by group, that's why the next group will come soon, because unloading more than 200 Kamaz [trucks] at a time is a serious task," Plotnitsky said.

"The group that came has already left. We are expecting a new one," Plotnitsky added.

The second Russian humanitarian convoy consists of 220 trucks carrying some 1,800 tons of food, medicine, water purification equipment and power generators. The aid is destined for Luhansk, which had been on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe for weeks.

The first convoy of 280 trucks carrying Russian humanitarian aid was sent to eastern Ukraine in late August and entered the country through a checkpoint controlled by independence forces after spending more than a week waiting at the border.
