MOSCOW, July 1 (RIA Novosti) - Millions of protesters flooded the streets of Egyptian cities to demand the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi on Sunday, which marked the first anniversary of his office, Egyptian media reported.

At least seven people were killed in clashes across Egypt, the Ahram Online publication reported.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters gathered outside the presidential palace in Cairo's Heliopolis district and in Tahrir Square, the focus of the 2011 revolution and the key venue of many opposition rallies, the Egyptian news portal said.

Demonstrators shouted that Morsi must resign and refused to leave until their demands are fulfilled.

Similar scenes occurred in Egypt's second largest city of Alexandria as well as elsewhere across the country.

Meanwhile, thousands of Morsi supporters staged a rally in a Cairo suburb, the BBC reported.
