At least 36 people were killed in a traffic accident in northwest China early on Sunday, the Xinhua news agency quoted local police as saying.
A bus and a methanol-loaded tanker collided and caught fire at about 2 a.m. in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province.
There were 39 people on board. Three out of them survived the accident but all suffered injuries, police said.
An investigation is underway.
