* Syrian opposition activists say at least 200 people have been killed in an assault by forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad on a village in the central Hama province, Western media reported

* The Indian Army successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable Agni-1 ballistic missile, CNN-IBN television reported

* The General Staff of Turkey’s Armed Forces backed down from its previous claim that its fighter jet was downed last month by Syrian forces

* A Russian state commission gave the final approval for the main and backup crews of a new expedition to the International Space Station (ISS) ahead of their launch on July 15
