More than 70 monks of a Buddhist temple in the north of Thailand have been hospitalized after an attack by a swarm of bees, the Bangkok Post reported on Sunday.
The incident happened in the Chedi Luang temple in Chiang Mai province on Saturday.
According to the temple abbot Ratcha Jetiyajarn, bees that were from the hives kept in the temple, attacked a group of novices monk while they were cleaning the territory. Jetiyajarn could not explain the reason for the sudden aggression of bees.
