Prince William was dressed in the uniform of the Irish Guards, and his brother Prince Harry took part as best man in the uniform of his regiment, the Blues and Royals.

Cost estimates of the wedding vary between $50 million and $80 million.

London police accompanied the bridal procession, and armed military personnel escorted the couple from the church service. Some 5,000 police officers were on patrol on the day of the wedding, along with about 200 mounted police and 35 sniffer dogs.
