Russia and Denmark signed on Tuesday a host of economic agreements, including memorandums of understanding of increased cooperation in the transportation and agricultural sectors.

The documents were signed during talks in Copenhagen between Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Danish counterpart Lars Lokke Rasmussen.

The two premiers discussed prospects for joint development of energy resources and coordinating policies on the gas market.

They also agreed to set up a joint center on efficient use of traditional and renewable energy resources.

Russia's energy giant Gazprom and Danish Dong Naturgas agreed to discuss the possibility of expanding supplies of Russian natural gas to European customers as an alternative to coal.
