Sarah Palin, a former Republican vice-presidential nominee and former Alaska governor, has joined the team of Fox News television channel to give political commentary and analysis, FoxNews.com reported.
"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news," the website quoted Palin as saying in her written statement.
According to the agency, Palin will be giving political commentary and analysis via all Fox News platforms, including television, radio and Internet.
She will be also participating in Fox Broadcasting special event political programming and will host periodic episodes of 'Real American Stories' series.
Palin was the first woman to serve as the governor of Alaska, assuming the office in 2006, and teamed with presidential candidate John McCain in 2008 running for the post of the vice-president.
