The situation on the popular tourist island of Bali is under control, Russia's honorary consul said commenting on reports of a terrorist threat.
"There are no serious indications of a threat. This warning was based on unchecked and unconfirmed information, but Bali's police and special services are on full alert," Nuku Kamka said.
The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta on Thursday issued a warning that the island could be attacked on New Year. It said the warning was received from Governor Mangku Pastika, however the governor has denied issuing any warnings.
